The Bishopton Week Group, made up of local volunteers, organises and co-ordinates events for Bishopton Week. These are supported by the local and neighbouring communities. The following is the 2010 event list.

 

Bishopton Art Group held an exhibition throughout the week within the village library during normal opening hours.

 
Window Treasure Hunt - was organised from Monday 14th June in conjunction with local businesses. Entry forms were available from the Library  or Woodrow's Newsagents. Closing date was noon on Thursday 17th June. It was suitable for all the family.
 
Murder Mystery and Afternoon Tea. Between 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm on Sunday 13th June, at Bishopton Community Centre, Erskine and District Rotary Club will presented 'a murder mustery. It was followed by afternoon tea.
 
 At 6.30 pm on Tuesday 15th June at Bishopton Community Centre, a magic show was held for children. Last year almost a 100 children attended this event. No unaccompanied children were allowed. 
 
Fun Run. Registration for the Fun Run was at 6.15pm on Wednesday 16th June at Bishopton Community Centre. A mini-fun run for toddlers started at 6.15 pm and for everyone else it started at 6.45 pm. This year the Fun Run followed a new route avoiding main roads. Wearing of fancy dress was optional. Prizes were awarded on Bishopton Day. .
 
Bishopton Primary Parent Council's family fun night took place on Thursday 17th June at the school from 7 pm. Cost was £5 per team with a maximum of 5 per team. Team tickets were available from the School or BPPC or payable on the night.
 

 
 

Bishopton week is a celebration of our community and in 2010 the week's activities included the following:

Magic Show – Tuesday 15th June – 6.30pm - 7.30pm in Community Centre. Entrance fee included a bag of sweets.
 
Fun Run - Wednesday 16th June - registration at Community Centrefrom 6.15 pm. Fancy Dress was optional. Entrance fee
 
Bishopton Day- The parade started outside Bishopton Primary School in Old Greenock Road and left  there at 12.00 noon. It followed a route through the village, going west through Stuart Road, down Kingston Road and along Greenock Road into the ROF Field. The Gala Day was officially opened at 12.45 pm by the Bishopton Princess Eilidh Harkness.
